The association will be dissolved, and its assets will be confiscated. According to the ministry, searches have been carried out since early morning at seven locations in Hamburg on the basis of court orders.

“Anyone who aggressively calls for a caliphate on our streets, spreads intolerable hatred against the State of Israel and Jews, and shows contempt for the rights of women and minorities will face the full force of the rule of law,” said Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU). “We will not allow organizations like ‘Muslim Interactive’ to undermine our free society, despise our democracy, and attack our country from within.”

According to the Interior Ministry, twelve additional properties in Berlin and Hesse were also searched on Wednesday. The searches are part of investigations into the associations Generation Islam and Realität Islam. The organizations are strongly suspected of fulfilling “the same grounds for prohibition as ‘Muslim Interactive’ or of being sub-organizations of ‘Muslim Interactive.’”
