Cosmetic procedures in Germany climbed in 2025, reaching nearly 98,000 cases, a 2.6 percent increase on the previous year. The Association of German Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons reported that the rise was largely fuelled by minimally invasive treatments, with Botox and hyaluronic acid fillers proving most popular, even as surgical procedures continued to decline.

The number of cosmetic procedures carried out in Germany rose last year. Compared to the previous year, face and body corrections increased by 2.6 percent from 95,509 to 97,962 cases, as the Association of German Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (VDÄPC) announced on Friday in Berlin. The growth was driven primarily by minimally invasive procedures such as Botox treatments, while the number of surgical cosmetic operations declined.

Botox treatments and hyaluronic acid treatments, including procedures to plump the lips, topped the list of the ten most common cosmetic corrections in 2025, as they did the previous year. Eyelid tightening surgery came in third place, followed by liposuction, breast augmentation or reduction, abdominoplasty, facelift, intimate surgery, and rhinoplasty.

Surgical cosmetic corrections reached their lowest level in five years in 2025, with a total of 36,004 cases recorded. Among other things, fewer liposuctions, breast augmentations, and abdominoplasties were performed compared to the previous year. Minimally invasive procedures, on the other hand, climbed to 61,958 cases, their highest level since 2020. Both among women and men, Botox and hyaluronic acid treatments were the most in demand, with a total of 34,671 and 23,689 cases respectively.

Among men, the 2025 top ten also included brow and forehead lifts, hair transplants, and gynecomastia, procedures to remove excess breast tissue.
