Unknown individuals in Berlin have deflated the tires of more than 40 parked cars, authorities reported. The incidents took place in the Prenzlauer Berg district, where notes referencing environmental issues were left on the affected vehicles, according to the city’s police on Wednesday. State security authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.
The attacks are believed to have occurred overnight, between around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Preliminary investigations indicate that over 40 cars across nine different streets were targeted. Police are currently examining the events and the messages left behind to determine the motive and identify those responsible.
